London Calling
I am now back in London for work after a busy trip to Ghana trying to finalize the condo in Accra which is still not complete! I do try to make it a priority to be really involved in all my projects, so I like to see and feel everything that is going into making these comfortable homes for families and I have to admit that I am a little bit picky. I am even considering making trips to a few places to choose the final fixtures and fittings!
When in Ghana I am still living at my parents, staying in the room which I grew up in! As much as I love staying there because it is literary five minutes away from all the cool places in Accra and it is a real family hub where we all come together to eat and socialize, I can’t wait for mine and Sulley’s new house to be ready. We are really excited!!!
Today I am travelling back to Milan and can’t wait to see Sulley again. I’m hoping to stay there for at least two weeks but you never know what could happen as I have a very busy month coming up in November. I will let you all in on the secret very soon…

Milan Fashion Week Review
Kerry-Lucy Taylor reviews Milan Fashion Week with celebrity model, Menaye Donkor.
Menaye, thank you so much for agreeing to give FamouslyFit.com another interview. Can I start with the question – was it modelling that influenced your interest in fashion, or was it your interest in fashion that drew you toward modelling?
Definitely it was fashion before modelling. Even though I was clueless and had no sense of style in my teenage years I admired and looked up to my mother and sister. They were to me the epitome of style. I have learnt a lot from them and I still do till today.

Homes Away From Home
So, this week I am still in Ghana, working as many hours as I can find in the day to finalise all the different fixtures and fittings for the condo. It is finally near completion and the long hard slog is ending with the nice task of adding the finishing touches to make the properties homely for the new occupants.
I’m so busy finishing this project to provide nice homes for others that I am yet to get a proper night’s sleep in my own new home! As you all know, Sulley and I recently moved back to Milan after staying in hotels for months. Then a few weeks ago we were finally able to move into our new apartment, but so far I have only managed to spend one night there… and I had to leave at 6am the next morning to catch a flight! I am really looking forward to getting back home, settling in properly and spending some quality time with Sulley enjoying our new apartment.
On Thursday I am going to visit the Menaye International School and I am very excited to meet all the new students that have started this term. I am also looking forward to seeing first-hand all the great renovations and the new IT suite and library at the school, which will contribute enormously to providing a quality education for these underprivileged children.
Off to London for a busy week next week– catch up then!

In Ghana
So, after public appearances, fashion shows and after-parties during Milan Fashion Week, I flew back to Ghana this week to begin work on one of my properties.
I was invited to the opening of the new Dsquared flagship boutique and Valentino Fashion Show in Paris, but unfortunately couldn’t make it with all of my other commitments. I will definitely be paying a visit to Dsquared soon though, don’t you worry!
We are working to a tight deadline to complete the new property, and I can honestly say that I’ve been working non-stop. It has been a stressful week picking out the right tiles, showers, designing a cabana, choosing colours for the property, designing the kitchen…basically all the nitty gritty stuff of putting a house together. By the way, I have a new found respect for builders, architects and interior decorators!
I have decided to be a lot more hands on with this property, and I’ve certainly learnt a lot (I’m proud that I have it in me!)
As much as I would love to stay longer in Ghana, I need to be in London next week to support my husband playing against Nigeria, and then over to Milan to decorate our new apartment (and make it a home). It’s going to be busy as I’ll then be away in LA in November – too much to do!
Sometimes I wish I could divide myself into a million pieces to be everywhere at once.
Love,

Menaye In The Afro News
Professional model and actress Menaye Donkor lives in Europe but her heart and caring eyes are focused on her numerous needy “children” in her home country, Ghana.
The wife of Sulley Muntari founded the Menaye Charity Organisation in 2005, shortly after she won the pageant to represent Ghana in the Miss Universe competition. All the money that the Charity raises is directed to good causes that are close to Menaye’s heart, predominantly to help disadvantaged children in Ghana. One such cause is the Menaye International School in the central region of Ghana, which provides free education for children in the local community. There are around 300 pupils at the school, who would not otherwise have had access to an education. (more…)

How To Look Perfect In Photos
We all love to look like our favourite Celebrity in front of the camera. What we may not realise is that being an actor or a model is a bit like being an athlete – you have to train the body and the mind and draw on experience to make yourself look better and more convincing.
Since representing my home country of Ghana at the Miss Universe pageant, my whole career has been spent in front of the camera. I’ve learned a lot about what makes you look good on film – and what doesn’t!
Here are my top tips for looking good in photographs…
